For many years, our outreach has depended on the faithfulness and dedication of a small group of teachers and coaches. GHN provides the materials, training, and opportunities, while these faithful servants provide the knowledge, relationships, and follow-through needed to make each program successful. And they have done a wonderful job!
Unfortunately, because of Hindu beliefs and increasing government persecution, opportunities for our trainers to strengthen their own faith are extremely limited. Resources for Christian discipleship can be difficult to obtain and, in some circumstances, dangerous to possess. Technology such as WhatsApp, however, provides a valuable and relatively secure platform where our teachers and coaches can study the Bible, encourage one another, and fellowship together.
In the fall of 2024 and again in 2025, a GHN board member, in connection with our in-country project manager, led small conferences for pastors in Nepal. Approximately 20 pastors from India were able to attend, where they were discipled, encouraged, and provided with Christian literature and study resources in digital format. The joy of worshiping together openly was palpable—even in the videos sent back to us.
Now, we believe it is time to take the next step. Equipping our own team to the same standard.
As it has been said by one of our team members, “You cannot do an effective job building disciples for Christ if you do not provide the tools, guidance, knowledge and support to complete the work.” Our in-country team already does amazing work through God’s faithfulness. Now we wish add tools to their repertoires.
Next spring, GHN plans to gather our own teachers and coaches in a safe location where they can worship together, be encouraged, and receive much-needed spiritual refreshment. All our trainers are first generation believers from Hindu backgrounds and have been Christ-followers for less than 15 years. A few teachers from the United States, will lead sessions focused on discipleship and spiritual growth based on 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
These faithful men and women spend their days pouring into others. We want to make sure they, too, have an opportunity to be poured into.
Would you please pray for the US teachers as they prepare the curriculum, and for the teachers and coaches who have served so faithfully for so long? Please also consider helping provide funding for transportation and housing for our coaches so they can attend this important time of fellowship, worship, and renewal.
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 3:16-17
