In India, a student’s ability to pass competitive exams is a deciding factor on whether or not they can go to college/higher education or get the best jobs. Students from low-income families start out at a disadvantage. Common problems low-income children face are not having enough resources at school, lacking money to pay school tuition, and pressure from family members to drop out and get a job to help the family. If these problems aren’t solved, inequality and lack of representation will continue to hurt India’s development and economic growth.
We have four coaching centers in the villages where we are training nearly a hundred and sixty students three hours a day every day after school. Our center is a place where children in the village can get help with Hindi, English, Math & Science. We currently have total of three hundred and thirty students in our after school mentoring programs.
