The Destitute Find New Life

Our students are adolescent girls, widows, and destitute women from the lower class of society where affected people have been dominating and ruling them for centuries. Poverty is the main disadvantage in almost all households where unemployment and seasonal income do not meet their basic needs. Families frequently migrate to different regions in search of work to make ends meet.

We are rehabilitating the economic condition of suffering women by organizing training in tailoring and alternate career opportunities. We have five tailoring schools and a hundred and ten students enrolled in the program. All five schools have an impact on almost thirty-five towns within a four-and-a-half mile radius. It’s estimated that after completing the tailoring program for adolescent girls and widows, their income will improve by 40- 50 percent.
