Jai is a 17 – year old girl who lives in a remote village with her mother. She recently lost her father in the pandemic. She had heard about computers, seen them from a distance, and even read about them in books but had never touched one in person. In her school, they teach computers through books with pictures, but there were no real computers in the school where she could practice. She joined our free computer classes and for the first time in her life she touched a computer physically. Before joining the computer course, Jai said, “I knew about Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google, but don’t know how to use it.”
