The Elephant Project has been in the works for about two years now. If you have had the chance to attend one of our India Discovery Fairs, you have probably seen a few of the finished elephants on display. The special thing about these elephants is that they are sewn by graduates from our tailoring schools in India.
The exciting part about this project is that we are taking new steps we have never done before. As a means to raise funds for future schools, the elephants are shipped to us flat (much easier to stack them that way and make sure they arrived undamaged) by our Indian partners. What we have been working on for awhile now is getting a new, independent site up and running specifically devoted to the elephant project.
