Feeding the Hungry
‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
Matthew 25: 35-36

In our first few weeks of checking weight, blood pressure, and other vitals, we discovered a lady who is the mother of three weighing only sixty-six pounds. Sixty-six pounds! When our team asked about her diet, she told them that her family is so poor that they only have rice to eat, and even that is limited.
Each day they boil water, pour it over the rice, and drink the “milk” from the rice to make it last. The woman is pictured in the blue sari below. Our Health Workers reported that nearly 25% of the ladies going through check-ups this week are severely underweight (under 100 pounds).

Immediately the Global Helps Team began discussing solutions; we are quickly researching powdered supplements like “Manna Mix.” For just $10 a month, we can provide 30 packets for one person. Our Health Workers will test the supplements for three months to see if they have the desired impact on the health of these dangerously under-weight women.
The average family in India is five or six people: would you please start a $50 per month donation (or whatever you can afford) today? Please type the word “Hungry” in a text to 253-321-1411 to meet the immediate need and choose to provide life-giving nutrients to these women.
